Shopping securely online with your credit card
Mastercard Identity Check (3D Secure) allows you to securely make online purchases using your Zempler Bank Mastercard. It’s an increased level of security for your online shopping.
When completing a purchase with participating online retailers, you’ll be asked to enter a one time passcode (a six or eight digit number), sent to the mobile number registered to your Zempler Bank account. When you enter the passcode, it will then be verified by Zempler Bank so we can make sure it’s you making the purchase.
Important security tips
Never share the passcode with anyone and make sure you read the FULL message. If someone asks you for this code, it will be a scam.
The one time passcode should only be entered on-screen when prompted.
Always use trusted websites. To check the site you’re using is secure, the URL will start with https:// and feature a padlock icon next to it.

You don’t need to do anything to activate this security step apart from making sure your mobile details are always kept up to date.
To update your mobile details, please call our Customer Service team.
You’ll be able to spot the Mastercard Identity Check logo on the retailer’s website.
Normally Mastercard Identity Check will show the last four digits of the mobile number that the one time passcode has been sent to. If you don’t recognise this mobile number, please call our Customer Service team on 0330 024 0924.
If the SMS containing your one time passcode doesn’t arrive, please double check you have the correct mobile number registered to your Zempler Online Banking account. Alternatively, you can select ‘Resend OTP’ which will resend the one time passcode. If you’re still experiencing issues, please contact our Customer Services team on 0330 024 0924.
If you suspect a fraudulent purchase has been made using your Zempler Credit Card, call our Customer Service team immediately on 0330 024 0924.
