How to add a trusted cardholder to your account, and steps to activate and get a PIN.
One of the many benefits of having a Zempler Bank account is that you can set up a family member or close friend as a trusted additional cardholder. Adding an additional card is different to adding a partner, director or co-founder to your Zempler Bank account.
Setting up an additional card can provide added support, convenience and ease for those trusted friends, family or caregivers, who may be lending a helping hand or require access to your funds.
If you want to add an additional card to your account, it's quick and easy to do so, and it comes with a range of benefits.

Spending with ease
With an additional card, you don’t have to pay someone back or give them your bank details.
Share your Zempler Bank account
Give someone an additional card and they’re able to do shopping and run errands on your behalf when required.
Stay in control
Your additional cardholder won’t have access to your whole account, but they’ll have access to all funds in your account when spending on the card. As the primary cardholder, you can view and track spending on the additional card and have the power to turn on and off certain controls like gambling transactions and ATM withdrawals.
What your additional cardholder can access
Your additional cardholder can set up a login for Online Banking and the Zempler Bank app so they can activate their card, but they won’t have full access to your account. Here’s what they can do:
Access all funds in your account when spending on the card
View statements and transaction history for their card only
View and manage their card security details
Request their PIN, activate and block card in the App and Online Banking
We are only authorised to discuss details of your account with the primary cardholder or a person with third party access to help manage your account.
Add an additional cardholder in four easy steps
You can order additional cards in Online Banking or the Zempler Bank app.
Online Banking
- Log in to Online Banking
- Click ‘Add Additional Cardholder’ and follow the steps
- Once confirmed, we’ll send the card to the primary cardholder’s address
- Your additional cardholder will need to set up their online login and activate the card (we’ll email them with details)
Zempler Bank app
- Log in to the Zempler Bank app
- Go to ‘Cards’ > ‘Additional’ > ‘Add a New Card’ and follow the steps
- Once confirmed, we’ll send the card to the primary cardholder’s address
- Your additional cardholder will need to set up their online login and activate the card (we’ll email them with details)

FAQs
An additional card is a card that is connected to your Zempler account. During setup, you'll give us the details for the trusted person that you want to be your additional cardholder and once confirmed, we’ll send you their Zempler card.
Your additional cardholder can then use this card to make purchases on your behalf. Each additional card costs £5.95 which we'll charge to your account.

- Employees (must be aged 18+)
With a Zempler consumer account, you can order up to four additional cards that will be connected to your account, while Zempler business customers can order up to 20 additional cards connected to their primary account.
If you’ve had an additional card requested for you, we’ll send you an email with details on how to activate your card once it arrives - we send it to the address provided by the primary cardholder. You’ll need to download the Zempler Bank app and set up an online login so you can then activate your card.
