How to activate your card and get your PIN

Your card will arrive in 3-5 days after your application. If you’ve applied for a personal account and have chosen to pay later, you’ll need to pay the initial account fee before receiving it. 

Once you’ve completed your account application, follow the steps to set up your online login details.

Then when your card arrives, activate it in the Zempler Bank app or Online Banking and request your PIN.

In the Zempler Bank app

  1. Log in to the Zempler Bank app.
  2. Head to Cards > Activate.
  3. Once activated, you can request your PIN to be sent to you via SMS message to your phone, or by mail to your registered address.

In Online Banking

  1. Log in to Online Banking. Remember, you’ll need a verification code from the app or a Code Key to do this.
  2. Head to Manage My Account > Activate a Card.
  3. Enter the requested digits of your card number.
  4. Once activated, you can request your PIN to be sent to you via SMS message to your phone, or by mail to your registered address.

Alternatively, you can activate and request your PIN by calling us on 0330 024 0924

Your card is then ready to use!

FAQs

  • You should receive your card in 3-5 days. 

    If you haven’t received your card within this timeframe, please check the status of your application using our application status tracker in case there’s any further information we need from you.

    Alternatively, give our Customer Service team a call and they can get it sorted for you.  

  • We’ll send you an email before your card’s due to expire. Your new card will be sent to your current address around 30 days before expiry.

    A card issuing fee may be charged to your account on, or shortly after, the date that your replacement card is issued. Your renewed card will be activated and ready for use.

    Occasionally, cards aren’t automatically renewed as you may need to have an account balance, but we’ll let you know in advance.

    If your new card doesn’t arrive and you haven’t heard from us, please contact our Customer Service team.

    Your new Zempler card will be linked to your account and any current balance will be available to use.

  • If you can't remember your card PIN, request a reminder in-app or in Online Banking:

    • In the Zempler app head to 'Cards', tap 'PIN Reminder' and choose to receive it via SMS or in the post – and we’ll send it to you.
    • In Online Banking head to 'Manage My Account' and select 'Request a PIN'. Choose which card you need the PIN for and whether you want to receive via SMS or in the post – and we’ll send it to you.
